Manager Facilities Engineering | Caterpillar

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Caterpillar, located in Reynosa, Tamaulipas. • Mission: Ensures the optimal functionality, safety, and sustainability of the physical environment, balancing budgetary constraints and supporting business objectives.
• Tech Stack: Manufacturing Application Systems, diagnostic tools, electronic transaction systems

What You’ll Actually Do
• Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, business partners, and suppliers to achieve organizational goals, focusing on sustainable facility usage and budget adherence.
• Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing facility maintenance team, designing and delivering training programs to ensure consistent, high-quality work.
• Operational Solutions: Assess the effectiveness of current utilities, equipment, and processes, providing innovative solutions to operational challenges and risks.
• Facility Management: Direct inspection, repair, and continuous improvement activities for all facilities, ensuring compliance with operational standards and maintaining order and safety throughout the site.
• Strategic Oversight: Manage space planning, establish requirements for staff and equipment, and ensure regulatory compliance in building security, environmental, and safety requirements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven ability to participate in and initiate collaborative processes and adept at leading problem-solving efforts for complex issues. Experienced in the installation, maintenance, and operation of large or multi-site facilities, including space planning and building security.
• Skills: Advanced English, Cross-Team Integration, Data Gathering & Analysis, Manufacturing Application Systems, Manufacturing Equipment, Plant Facilities Management, Problem Solving, Supplier Management.
• Bonus: Master’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering Management, Business Administration (MBA), Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline; Certifications such as Facility Manager, Facility Management Professional, Project Management Professional, or related to the area; Certification in Six Sigma Black Belt; Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing; Course in Advanced Building Automation Systems.
