AVP Finance – FP&A | Wintrust Financial Corporation

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Wintrust Financial Corporation, located in Rosemont, IL. This high-visibility role supports critical financial planning and analysis activities, including projects, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and investor relations, directly influencing financial strategy and decision-making for executive leaders.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Earnings Support: Provide comprehensive support for all earnings deliverables, including the earnings release, presentation, and Q&A preparation.
• Analyst Insights: Maintain and analyze sell-side analyst models and estimate summaries to offer insights into market expectations compared to internal estimates.
• Performance Benchmarking: Develop and refine peer benchmark reporting to compare company performance against a peer proxy group, delivering key insights to senior leadership.
• Strategic Initiative Evaluation: Assist in the financial modeling and due diligence for evaluating strategic initiatives and new investment or business opportunities.
• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Deliver precise and timely financial reporting and analysis to business leaders, translating results into clear insights, trends, risks, and opportunities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: 6+ years of relevant financial experience, ideally within FP&A, corporate finance, investor relations, or banking.
• Experience: Proven ability in advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, including complex financial modeling and crafting executive-level presentation materials.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the capacity to transform intricate financial data into clear business insights, and a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with leaders and partners while exercising excellent judgment.
• Bonus: Experience with Workday, Adaptive Planning, Workiva, S&P Market Intelligence, Visible Alpha, and other reporting/forecasting tools.
