Strategic Finance Manager | Chime
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Chime, located in San Francisco, CA (hybrid). Chime is a financial technology company that enables individuals to achieve financial progress by offering helpful, easy, and free core banking services. This role is critical as it partners across Growth, Marketing, Product, and Data to evaluate growth initiatives, measure performance, and inform strategic investment decisions. The Strategic Finance Manager will provide rigorous, data-driven insights to help Chime scale efficiently and drive sustainable growth.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Strategy Partnership: Partner with Finance, Marketing, and Product leadership to support growth strategy discussions, define success metrics, and measure the impact of growth initiatives across the user lifecycle.
• Performance Analysis: Lead cohort-based analyses and deep dives by extracting, visualizing, and synthesizing data to identify performance trends, key drivers, and areas of opportunity across acquisition and engagement.
• Risk and Opportunity Evaluation: Evaluate risks and opportunities to the current growth plan by developing a holistic understanding of Chime’s marketing and growth roadmap.
• Reporting Development: Develop, deliver, and maintain clear, insightful reporting that helps business leaders track progress against expectations.
• Forecasting Improvement: Support and continuously improve forecasting processes, systems, and tooling to better reflect growth dynamics, streamline operations, and enhance scalability and automation.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager level, with 8+ years of relevant experience in Strategic Finance, investment banking, private equity, consulting, or venture capital, ideally within a high-growth technology environment.
• Experience: Demonstrated prior experience with cohort data and ROI analysis, alongside exceptional skills in building scalable, efficient, and intuitive financial models.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills, capable of synthesizing complex findings into concise and actionable insights; high attention to detail and a strong ownership mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate work in a fast-paced environment; and ability to work and influence cross-functionally with minimal guidance.
• Bonus: Familiarity with the marketing ecosystem, acquisition channels, and channel KPIs; prior experience with Looker and SQL.
