Litigation Paralegal | Fox Rothschild
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Fox Rothschild, a national law firm, located in Washington, DC. The firm is seeking an experienced paralegal to play a critical role in supporting attorneys and clients across all phases of litigation. This position is essential for managing complex case materials, ensuring meticulous preparation of court filings, and coordinating crucial logistics, directly contributing to the effective progression and successful outcomes of legal cases.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Discovery Support: Compile, prepare, and summarize relevant materials for use by attorneys in discovery, and meticulously review documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines and criteria.
• Court Filings: Assist with the preparation of all court filings, including performing cite and fact checking of legal briefs, conducting cross-reference checks, confirming proper Bluebook citation, proofreading documents, and assembling exhibits and appendices.
• Document Management: Index, track, and control all case-related materials, specifically managing documents produced and received in discovery, and organizing exhibits and other materials used at depositions and during trial.
• Trial Logistics: Coordinate comprehensive trial set-up and manage logistics, serving as a vital liaison among various internal departments and with outside vendors such as translation services, document production providers, and trial graphics companies.
• Attorney & Trial Support: Work closely and directly with attorneys and clients during all phases of litigation, and specifically support attorneys during trial by assisting with the creation of demonstratives and providing courtroom presentation support.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An Associate’s degree or a paralegal certificate is required, coupled with a thorough working knowledge of Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and all related court filing procedures and processes.
• Experience: A minimum of eight years of paralegal experience is required, including significant prior trial experience. This role also demands proficiency in using document review platforms such as Relativity and document/deposition management platforms like Everchron, along with proven ability to conduct independent research.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, alongside strong problem-solving abilities. Candidates must demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in legal brief cite and fact-checking, Bluebook citation, and general proofreading. Proficiency in office software including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook is also necessary, with the ability to learn other programs as needed.
• Bonus: A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree is preferred.
