Finance Rotation Program (Financial Analyst) | Snowflake

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Analysis: Build and enhance short- and long-term forecasting models to support expansion strategies, and deliver high-quality presentations for senior executives and investors.
• Accounting Operations: Participate in month-end close activities, prepare journal entries, conduct reconciliations, and perform variance analyses for various accounting focus areas.
• Process Improvement: Assist in gathering and documenting accounting requirements for automation, draft proposed workflows, and utilize RPA (Robotic Process Automation) to automate repetitive manual work.
• Compliance & Audit: Support internal controls assessments, review business processes, develop and update Risk and Control Matrices, and assist with SOX reporting and control documentation.
• Strategic Support: Perform financial analysis to evaluate the ROI for partner programs, analyze financial research on peers and industry trends, and support contract review processes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: BA/BS/MS in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field. Entry-Level career with 0-1 years of experience.
• Experience: 0-1 years of Finance or Accounting experience/internships, ideally in a start-up environment or Investment Banking/Equity Research. Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint, with the ability to build reports, dashboards, pivot tables, and use VLOOKUPs.
• Skills: Exceptional critical thinking, effective communication, passion for detail and quality, flexible team-player, committed self-starter, problem-solver, understanding of accounting principles, and knowledge of GAAP.
• Bonus: Experience using Tableau or similar tools, recognized professional qualifications (CA/CPA/CIA), experience with Adaptive Insights, experience with cloud-based or SaaS companies, experience with Salesforce, Vertex, Stripe, lockbox, and Workday Financials ERP, or a thorough understanding of applicable SOX controls.
