Financial Planning Analyst | Emerson

This is a full-time role at Emerson, located in Cranberry Township, PA. As a Financial Planning Analyst, you will be part of a global Financial Planning & Analysis team, supporting financial and strategic decision-making for the business unit. In this role, you will contribute to forecasting, planning, and performance analysis, partnering with cross-functional and global teams to deliver insights that drive business outcomes and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analysis: Provide global analytical support for quarterly forecasts, updating projections throughout the fiscal year.
• Modeling: Lead and coordinate updates to comprehensive financial models, including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and supporting metrics.
• Planning: Support planning cycles including quarterly operating reviews, annual budgets, and long-term strategic plans.
• Reporting: Analyze monthly global financial results, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Communication: Develop clear, data-driven presentations to communicate financial performance and insights to senior leadership.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience: A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in finance in the manufacturing industry, with experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, or modeling.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and translate it into actionable insights, proficiency in business tools such as spreadsheets and presentation software, effective communication skills to engage with stakeholders at various levels, ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment, and a collaborative mindset to work within a team environment.
• Bonus: Financial Analyst experience in a corporate setting, working knowledge of Hyperion, experience collaborating with world areas in a global organization.
