What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze Data: Perform statistical, cost, and comprehensive financial analysis on data reported across various financial systems to support organizational understanding.
• Cost Management: Review costs and conduct detailed cost benefit analysis related to specific projects and programs to inform resource allocation.
• Financial Recording: Accurately record, classify, and summarize financial transactions and events in strict accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Report Development: Develop comprehensive financial reports essential for forecasting future trends, analyzing current results, and supporting strategic financial planning.
• Data Interpretation: Assist in analyzing financial data, extracting and defining relevant information, and interpreting this data to determine past financial performance or project future financial probabilities.
• Decision Support: Interpret complex financial transactions and events for various users across the organization, enabling them to make informed economic and business decisions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related business field is required for this early career position.
• Experience: Entry-level candidates are welcome with the appropriate Bachelor’s Degree. As an alternative to the degree, two years of related work experience combined with a High School Diploma or GED is acceptable.
• Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Office spreadsheet applications is necessary for data analysis and reporting. Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) is crucial for recording financial transactions.
• Bonus: Proficiency in Microsoft Office spreadsheet applications and experience with PeopleSoft General Ledger are strongly preferred qualifications.
