Investment Analyst I | Truist Financial Corporation

The Tone:
This is a regular position at Truist Financial Corporation, located in the United States of America. Truist provides Investment Management Services to high-net-worth clients within Truist Wealth. This role is critical for supporting Investment Managers in delivering these services, acting as a primary source for investment communication, and playing a key part in new business development. The Investment Analyst will contribute directly to managing client relationships, executing daily trading activities, and developing tailored investment strategies.

• Mission: Assist in the delivery of Investment Management Services to clients and support new business development through comprehensive investment analysis.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Acquisition: Assist Investment Managers in acquiring prospective clients by conducting comprehensive analysis of complex outside portfolios and preparing presentations.
• Investment Strategy Development: Propose, construct, monitor, and adjust client-specific, advice-driven investment strategies and solutions for individuals and families, making proactive recommendations as needed.
• Trading and Compliance: Manage daily trading activities in discretionary, non-discretionary, and trust-based portfolios, ensuring and documenting adherence to Truist, SunTrust Advisory Services, and relevant regulatory policies.
• Client Onboarding and IPS: Actively assist in the client onboarding experience, develop Investment Policy Statements in accordance with unique client situations, and help transition new clients into ongoing portfolio management.
• Portfolio Monitoring and Review: Monitor client portfolios relative to their investment policy statement, work with the team to identify and address variances, and prepare regular investment reviews for existing clients.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent education and related training, with a demonstrated understanding of the fundamentals of finance and investment theory.
• Experience: 2+ years of investment management/trading or related experience, with Series 65 licenses required within 100 days of the start date (or transfer within 60 days).
• Skills: Possesses presentation skills, strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work on complex projects with minimal supervision.
• Bonus: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification (or progress towards CFA), MBA (or progress towards MBA), or additional professional designations such as CFP®, CIMA, or CAIA.
