Intern, Financial Operations & Business Analytics – Fall 2026/Winter 2027 | BMW Group

This is a full-time internship at BMW Group, located in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting & Compliance: Coordinate, prepare, and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for various BMW Group companies, ensuring SEC compliance and supporting external audits.
• Risk Management & Analysis: Validate risk costs and parameters, assess their appropriateness, and support the preparation of regular and ad-hoc risk reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
• Business Intelligence & Data Analytics: Perform advanced analytics using tools like Tableau and SAS to gather, analyze, and interpret data for new business, portfolio, and terminations analysis, supporting decision-making.
• Internal Controls & Process Optimization: Assist in maintaining and enhancing the internal control environment in compliance with BMW Group guidelines, including collaborating on the design and implementation of systems for new processes.
• IT Transformation & Reporting Streamlining: Contribute to significant IT transformation projects underway within the organization and the implementation of streamlined reporting processes that leverage high-quality data and powerful BI tools.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level position for students currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field, maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 throughout the internship duration. US Work Authorization is required.
• Experience: Completion of at least 60 college credit hours at the time of application. Prior relevant coursework or internship experience in finance, accounting, or data analysis is essential. Prior BMW Group experience is also required, and the ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) is a must. Applicants must submit an unofficial college transcript.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI for creating impactful dashboards and reports. Familiarity with financial reporting and accounting software like SAP or Oracle Financials.
• Bonus: Basic understanding of programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis. Knowledge of financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
