Financial Analyst | Bland
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Bland AI, located in San Francisco. Bland AI is a voice AI platform engineered for enterprises with complex, high-volume call center operations. The company built its entire stack from scratch to overcome fundamental challenges like latency and reliability, enabling it to autonomously resolve up to 65% of inbound calls by handling multi-step workflows, authentication, routing, and live data lookups. This role is crucial because Bland, a company of roughly 80 people, operates with a lean internal team and needs a second finance professional to build the foundational financial and operational systems required for growth.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Compensation: Support the administration of compensation plans and commissions for the company.
• Reporting: Build and maintain essential financial reporting and dashboards for various stakeholders.
• Analysis: Analyze bookings and revenue trends to provide insights into business performance.
• Planning: Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes to guide future financial decisions.
• Systems: Improve and optimize the systems the company uses to make informed business decisions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early in career with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related track.
• Experience: Some exposure to finance, accounting, operations, consulting, or a related field.
• Skills: Strong financial foundation, comfort in Power BI, Excel, and other analytical tools, and highly self-directed with strong problem-solving instincts.
• Bonus: 1+ years experience in IB (Tech focus preferred), in a finance role at a high-growth start-up, or an equivalent role; experience with accounting, FP&A, and revenue recognition; or experience with M&A or strategic financial projects.
