Fund Banking Analyst | Stifel Financial Corp.

• Mission: Provide financial analysis and support for fund banking operations, ensuring the smooth execution of fund banking activities and strategic development.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Analysis: Provide detailed financial analysis and support specifically for fund banking operations, analyzing complex financial data to inform decisions and ensure smooth activity.
• Reporting & Strategy: Prepare comprehensive financial reports and actively assist in developing robust financial strategies tailored for effective fund management.
• Data Monitoring & Credit Review: Gather, organize, analyze, and continuously monitor borrower data to assess performance, producing various essential reports for management and assisting in analyzing prospective credit decisions by understanding borrower history, assets, or investors.
• Client & Loan Support: Address diverse client requests related to their loans or deposit accounts, processing frequent loan advance requests and liaising effectively with other organizational members.
• Ad-Hoc Support: Execute various ad-hoc requests and generate reports for both the Fund Banking and Venture Banking teams, providing responsive support as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, or another business-related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 1+ years of full-time work experience, preferably gained in commercial banking, finance, accounting, investment banking, or alternative investments.
• Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, keen attention to detail, comprehensive knowledge of financial markets, understanding of the venture capital / private equity ecosystem and fund structures, and strong MS Excel proficiency.
• Bonus: Ability to work effectively within a small entrepreneurial team, a passion for improving processes and solving problems without highly structured guidance, and comfort in direct communication with senior executives and investment firms.
