• Mission: This person owns the financial and management reporting, analysis, forecasting, and budgeting processes for assigned operations, ensuring robust financial controls and supporting operational leadership.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Provide Accounting Support: Act as primary accounting support to the South and Southwest Florida Aggregate operations. This includes maintaining financial controls and analyzing the P&L, inventories, costs, and inventory changes for these sites.
• Manage Financial Cycles: Participate in the timely and accurate preparation and review of all significant financial information provided to Division, Region, and Corporate management. Duties include monthly closing, forecast updates, and capital and operating budget preparation.
• Oversee Inventory Counts: Lead the spare part inventory count twice annually and calculate finished and raw material inventory variances twice annually for assigned operations.
• Conduct Operational Analysis: Participate in operational benchmarking and other monthly performance analysis to support ongoing improvements and strategic decision-making.
• Facilitate Procurement & Project Support: Create purchase orders and check requests for the environmental department, public relations, and limited other needs. Additionally, support the Engineering department with project cost tracking, monthly reporting, and creation of purchase requisitions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Current knowledge regarding the conceptual framework underlying financial accounting.
• Experience: 1+ years of financial management experience.
• Skills: Computer literate in SAP and PC based applications, Strong Excel skills, Diplomacy and ability to function as a leader in a team environment.
• Bonus: Industry experience helpful.
