The Tone:
This is a full-time role at ElevenLabs, located in Europe with office options in Warsaw or London. ElevenLabs is an AI research and product company that launched in January 2023, transforming how people interact with technology through human-like AI voice models. The company has expanded its offerings into ElevenAgents, ElevenCreative, and ElevenAPI platforms. This role is crucial for spearheading public sector partnerships and government affairs across Europe, influencing policy frameworks that promote innovation and responsible AI, and driving government adoption of ElevenLabs’ products and services.

• Mission: Owns the development and implementation of public sector engagement and public policy strategies across Europe.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead Engagement: Lead ElevenLabs’ engagement with government bodies and officials across Europe, with a focus on AI governance, safety, copyright, privacy, transparency, data protection, competition, and digital rights.
• Build Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with policymakers, regulators, industry associations, and civil society groups.
• Monitor Regulations: Monitor, analyze, and advise on emerging regulations impacting the company.
• Represent Company: Represent ElevenLabs at conferences and industry events, advancing the company’s public policy goals.
• Promote Adoption: Promote government adoption of ElevenLabs products and services in partnership with the Go-To-Market team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior Professional with a core domain in public policy and government affairs, specifically focused on AI and technology.
• Experience: 8+ years’ experience in public and private sector (in-house, firm) policy roles, with demonstrated success in designing, advocating for, and influencing policy outcomes, as well as coalition building, across Europe.
• Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including when briefing government officials and other policymakers. Strong knowledge of the regional AI policy landscape, covering AI governance, safety, copyright, privacy, transparency, data protection, competition, and digital rights. Fluency in English.
• Bonus: Comfortable working independently and handling ambiguity, excelling in situations requiring quick, informed decisions, and bringing a proactive, solution-oriented approach to projects.
