What You’ll Actually Do
• Cost Planning: Support cost planning and revenue management activities across the organization.
• Financial Issues: Assist with financial issues related to reporting, monitoring costs, and reviewing production.
• Data Interpretation: Research and interpret financial data to provide actionable information to management.
• Performance Analysis: Produce and analyze various reports comparing actual expenses to planned expenses to determine financial performance.
• Trend Projection: Analyze financial trends and determine projected financial benefits for UPS.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Rising college junior or senior, or a recent graduate from a Finance, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems (MIS), Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative field, with an understanding of basic financial terminology and concepts such as operating profit/loss and net income.
• Experience: Familiarity with SQL, BigQuery, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and data architecture/design concepts; knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
• Skills: Excellent oral, written, and interactive communication skills; skilled in effective research tactics; strong organization skills; ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality.
• Bonus: Requires schedule flexibility depending on business needs.
