What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close duties, ensuring the accurate and timely recording of financial information for the organization.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and develop comprehensive monthly and quarterly financial forecasts by leveraging historical trends and forward-looking insights for senior leadership.
• Business Partnering: Collaborate directly with business leaders to offer insights into key drivers of monthly financial results, proactively identify growth opportunities, and enhance their strategic decision-making capabilities through robust analytics.
• Performance Analysis & Recommendations: Conduct thorough analyses of P&L trends and variances, clearly articulating their causes and translating these findings into actionable recommendations that align with the company’s overarching business goals.
• Process Optimization: Engage with Finance leadership to pinpoint areas for new process development and to refine existing finance processes, thereby ensuring superior data integrity and promoting greater analytical efficiency.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, coupled with at least 3 years of professional experience directly related to financial analysis or accounting functions.
• Experience: Possess a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a financial role, demonstrating strong proficiency with personal computers and various Microsoft applications, with specific expertise in Excel, including the creation and use of pivots, V-lookups, and macros.
• Skills: Expertise in advanced Excel functions (pivots, V-lookups, macros), comprehensive financial analysis, accurate financial forecasting, detailed P&L variance analysis, and clear financial reporting.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree specifically in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related quantitative discipline is preferred, along with prior professional experience within the insurance industry.
