This is a full-time Financial Analyst role at Venteon, working for a stable and profitable client situated in Oakland County, Michigan. This position is fundamental to the client’s financial operations, providing crucial insights needed to thoroughly understand business performance, identify key trends, and meticulously analyze variances against financial targets. What You’ll Actually Do
• Performance Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of diverse financial data, rigorously evaluating business performance, identifying critical trends, and pinpointing significant variances that impact financial health and outcomes.
• Financial Reporting: Systematically prepare, compile, and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial reports, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership to facilitate informed strategic decisions.
• Strategic Planning Support: Provide essential and active support for the entire financial budgeting cycle, contribute significantly to accurate forecasting initiatives, and assist in the comprehensive development and continuous refinement of long-range financial planning processes.
• Financial Modeling: Design, develop, and meticulously maintain robust and dynamic financial models, which serve as crucial analytical tools for comprehensive business planning and critical decision-making across various departments.
• Operational Efficiency: Proactively identify, analyze, and recommend concrete opportunities aimed at streamlining existing financial processes, achieving measurable cost savings, and enhancing overall operational efficiency within the financial functions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a Bachelor’s degree in either Accounting or Finance, providing a solid theoretical foundation for this early career role.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in Finance or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), coupled with specific practical experience related to inventory management and analysis.
• Skills: Demonstrate advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, utilizing its capabilities for complex data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting.
• Bonus: Previous exposure to PowerBI, indicating familiarity with business intelligence tools for data visualization and analysis.
