Investment Banking AN2/3/AS1 MedTech M&A (Global Middle Market) | Prospect Rock Partners

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Prospect Rock Partners, located in either Boston, MA or San Francisco, CA. Prospect Rock Partners is an established investment banking firm with a nationally recognized middle-market healthcare franchise, specifically focused on the MedTech sector. This position offers a significant opportunity to gain direct client exposure and take on meaningful responsibility, working alongside senior bankers on complex, high-profile transactions across M&A, capital raising, and advisory assignments. The role is suited for individuals who are intellectually curious, highly analytical, and eager to contribute to the healthcare innovation ecosystem.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Modeling: Construct and maintain detailed financial models, including operating models, various valuation analyses (DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, LBO), merger models, and accretion/dilution analyses.
• Document Preparation: Develop client presentation materials, pitch books, confidential information memoranda (CIMs), management presentations, board materials, and transaction marketing documents.
• Transaction Support: Assist in the execution of sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions, equity offerings, debt financings, and strategic advisory engagements.
• Due Diligence: Perform financial and operational due diligence, coordinate diligence requests, and assist with data room management throughout the deal process.
• Client Collaboration: Engage directly with clients, private equity sponsors, attorneys, accountants, and other transaction participants.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Biology, or a related field. Candidates must possess a strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles, valuation methodologies, and financial statement analysis to succeed in this role.
• Experience: Requires 2–4 years of prior investment banking experience, with a preference for candidates who have worked within the Healthcare, MedTech, Life Sciences, or Technology sectors.
• Skills: Demonstrated advanced financial modeling and Excel proficiency, exceptional PowerPoint and presentation development capabilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail. The role demands the ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively under tight deadlines.
• Bonus: A CPA, CFA, or an advanced degree is considered a plus but is not required. Preferred candidates will also have experience advising companies in specific MedTech areas such as medical devices, diagnostics, life science tools, healthcare technology, digital health, surgical technologies, orthopedics, cardiovascular devices, neuromodulation, robotics, laboratory equipment, or medical consumables.
