The Tone:
This is a Vice President (VP1/VP2) role within a leading Investment Bank, located in New York, serving as a critical member of its highly regarded Aerospace & Defense Investment Banking team. The firm provides a market-leading platform with a strong franchise, an active transaction pipeline, and offers extensive exposure to some of the most prominent companies across the Aerospace & Defense sector. This position represents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious investment banker to play a key role in originating and executing a broad range of strategic transactions, working closely with Managing Directors while also leading Associates and Analysts through all phases of the deal process.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead Transaction Execution: You will lead the execution of high-profile M&A mandates and strategic advisory assignments from inception through completion, gaining exposure to complex corporate finance transactions and capital raises across the Aerospace & Defense sector.
• Manage Financial Processes: You will be responsible for managing comprehensive due diligence processes, conducting in-depth financial analysis, performing robust valuation work, and ensuring accurate transaction documentation for various strategic assignments.
• Oversee Material Development: You will direct and oversee the preparation of detailed client presentations, compelling marketing materials, and sophisticated financial models, ensuring all deliverables meet the highest standards.
• Build Client Relationships: You will actively build and maintain long-term relationships with senior management teams and corporate clients, supporting business development initiatives alongside senior bankers to deliver best-in-class advice.
• Mentor Junior Bankers: You will mentor and develop junior bankers, including Associates and Analysts, across the team, guiding them through all phases of the deal process and fostering their professional growth.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This role requires a Vice President (VP1/VP2) level professional, possessing deep core domain knowledge in Investment Banking with a focus on M&A execution within complex corporate finance transactions.
• Experience: Candidates must have 6–7 years of robust Investment Banking experience, including strong M&A execution gained specifically within a leading Investment Bank or advisory firm. A proven track record of successfully managing multiple live transactions simultaneously, combined with demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to effectively mentor junior team members, is essential.
• Skills: You must possess excellent financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills, complemented by strong communication and client-facing abilities necessary for building and maintaining relationships with senior management teams.
• Bonus: Previous sector-specific experience within Aerospace & Defense is highly desirable, offering an advantageous foundation for this role.
