The Tone:
This is an in-person role at FirstCall Group, located in Austin, TX, suitable for either an entry-level or seasoned M&A professional. FirstCall Group is a leading provider of commercial and industrial HVAC, building controls, electrical, and plumbing services, committed to nationwide expansion. This role is crucial for executing the company’s acquisition strategy, fostering growth, and building durable partnerships.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Outreach: Coordinate and execute outreach to potential sellers and M&A intermediaries.
• Due Diligence: Perform thorough due diligence, including reviewing financial statements, managing data rooms, and assessing M&A deliverables.
• Transaction Support: Support the execution of M&A transactions by coordinating with internal teams and external advisors.
• Reporting: Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management in a clear and concise manner.
• Special Projects: Assist in executing special project growth initiatives like operations analytics, dashboarding, and process improvement.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; M&A professional at the Analyst through Manager level.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in transaction advisory accounting, financial due diligence, investment banking, private equity, or mergers & acquisitions.
• Skills: Strong financial analysis, project management, and people management abilities; proven aptitude for working within deadlines and managing sensitive information with confidentiality.
