Client Agreements Advisor | Torentify

The Tone:
This is a fully remote role at Torentify, acting as a recruiter for a globally recognized law firm. The firm provides comprehensive legal services to businesses across multiple industries worldwide, committed to delivering exceptional client service while upholding the highest standards of legal excellence, compliance, and risk management. This position is vital for supporting the review, analysis, and negotiation of client engagement agreements and outside counsel guidelines, directly contributing to the firm’s ability to manage contractual risk and ensure compliance in a collaborative global environment.

• Team: Procurement and Legal Operations team, collaborating with attorneys, business professionals, and internal stakeholders.
• Mission: To support the review, analysis, and negotiation of client engagement agreements and outside counsel guidelines, ensuring compliance and managing contractual risk.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office, legal document management systems.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Review Agreements: Critically review client engagement agreements and outside counsel guidelines, preparing written assessments and recommendations for contract review.
• Analyze Risks: Analyze contractual terms comprehensively to identify potential legal, operational, and business risks, collaborating with attorneys and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Draft and Negotiate: Draft client-facing responses and proposed contract language, supporting negotiations involving non-standard contractual provisions.
• Ensure Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with internal policies, legal standards, and risk management practices, including responding to client due diligence questionnaires.
• Maintain Systems: Maintain contract documentation and internal agreement databases, monitoring updates to contractual requirements and recommending process improvements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) degree, indicating a foundational legal education essential for this advisory role.
• Experience: Two or more years of experience in contract review, legal operations, procurement, or a law firm environment, with specific experience reviewing client agreements, commercial contracts, or outside counsel guidelines.
• Skills: Possess a strong understanding of contract law and legal risk assessment; demonstrate excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities; exhibit strong written and verbal communication abilities; and interpret complex contractual language to provide practical, actionable recommendations.
• Bonus: Experience conducting legal and business research to support contract evaluations; ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining meticulous attention to detail; proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems for efficient workflow.
