This position is crucial for providing comprehensive legal support to attorneys and for independently managing complex legal tasks and cases within the firm’s family law practice.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Team Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the paralegal team, including assigning tasks and overseeing workload.
• Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and legal arguments.
• Document Preparation: Prepare and file a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.
• Trial Support: Assist attorneys in the preparation for trial, which includes organizing evidence, reviewing materials, preparing witness lists, and drafting motions and briefs.
• Client Communication: Serve as a key communicator with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the legal process.
• Case File Management: Organize and maintain both physical and electronic case files and documents to ensure accessibility and compliance.
• Hearing Preparation: Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, mediations, and various hearings.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree and a paralegal certificate from an accredited institution, focusing on legal support within a law firm setting.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience working as a paralegal, with a strong preference for experience in Family Law.
• Skills: Strong research and writing skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research software, ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
