Investment Banking and Capital Markets – Banker – Consumer and Business Services Associate | Deutsche Bank

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Deutsche Bank, located in New York, NY. Deutsche Bank’s Origination & Advisory business provides comprehensive investment banking products and services for both large-cap and mid-cap corporates and financial sponsors. This Associate role is crucial for supporting the execution of transactions within the Consumer and Business Services sector, contributing to financial advisory and capital-raising services. The position helps facilitate mergers & acquisitions, restructuring advice, and capital markets platforms across a global presence.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Execute live transactions for the Consumer and Business Services coverage team, including preparing detailed memoranda, presentations, and analyzing client company attributes.
• Evaluate: Apply financial, economic, quantitative, and qualitative methods to evaluate and execute acquisitions, financings, and equity raising transactions.
• Develop: Create and apply advanced financial analyses and models.
• Report: Issue final reports of client interactions and discussions to senior management and maintain ongoing communication.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree. Experience in providing quantitative and analytical support for M&A and capital markets transactions in the Consumer, Retail, and Business Services space, with a background in sector coverage or M&A.
• Experience: Supporting Senior Bankers across all stages of a transaction lifecycle, including pitching, preparing marketing materials, financial models, and deal execution.
• Skills: Quantitative and analytical support for M&A and capital markets transactions (IPOs, equity follow-ons, SPACs, investment grade and leveraged finance debt offerings); performing detailed financial modeling and valuation analyses; performing in-depth company and industry research.
• Bonus: Advanced degree preferred; Series 79, 63, and SIE licensing preferred.
