Valuation Intern – Winter 2027 – Chicago, IL (Loop) | Prairie Capital Advisors, Inc.

• Mission: To support project teams by preparing client deliverables, conducting research, and assisting with valuation modeling, thereby gaining exposure to various client industries and corporate finance assignments.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Deliverables: Prepare client deliverables including valuation reports, presentations, and confidential marketing materials like pitchbooks.
• Research: Conduct industry and economic research to inform valuation and advisory projects.
• Modeling: Assist with valuation modeling projects, which may include discounted cash flow modeling, creating guidelines for comparable company analysis, transaction screening, and LBO modeling.
• Collaboration: Participate in project discussions and internal team meetings to contribute to ongoing engagements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Actively working toward completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree program majoring in finance, accounting, economics, or another relevant field of study.
• Experience: Completed coursework in Financial Accounting, Corporate Finance, or Economics, with an ability to commit to working 20–30 hours per week in the office.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and meet tight timelines in a team environment.
• Bonus: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, now and in the future.
