The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Adams & Martin Group, located in Newport Beach, CA, with a hybrid work schedule. The firm is a busy, mid-size insurance defense firm managing a high-volume caseload focused on personal injury, auto, and premises liability defense matters. This role is crucial for supporting multiple attorneys in all phases of civil litigation, ensuring the delivery of exceptional work product within a collaborative and process-driven environment. What You’ll Actually Do
Timeline Management: Manage all civil litigation timelines and due dates, including comprehensive docketing and calendaring.
Document Preparation: Prepare and finalize various legal documents, such as pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, motions, and correspondence.
Court Filings: Handle all aspects of state court filings with required experience, with federal filings as a plus.
Calendar Coordination: Maintain attorney calendars and proficiently schedule depositions, hearings, independent medical examinations (IMEs), meetings, and mediations.
Trial Support: Assist with critical trial preparation tasks, including the creation of exhibit binders, witness lists, and pre-trial filings.

The Must-Haves
Background: Career level: Experienced professional with a strong background in insurance defense and personal injury defense.
Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Legal Secretary in civil litigation, demonstrating strong knowledge of state court litigation processes.
Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Outlook (Calendar & Tasks), Word, and PDF editing tools, coupled with the ability to work independently.
Bonus: Experience with federal court filings.
