Customer Support Strategy Process Intern | BMW Group

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at BMW Group, located in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. This role offers the opportunity to directly support critical areas of parts pricing and performance management within the Customer Support Strategy, contributing to essential financial analysis, budget tracking, and the creation of key management presentations. The intern’s work will be instrumental in gaining independent understanding of various topics, visualizing key insights, and ensuring business units and stakeholders are aligned with budget allocations and strategic financial goals.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Analysis: Conduct complex pricing analysis and perform detailed financial modeling using MS Excel to support parts pricing strategies.
• Budget Management: Develop and maintain monthly reports on budget utilization, tracking business support budgets and activities to identify trends in usage.
• Data Aggregation: Take responsibility for retrieving and aggregating pertinent data from multiple sources to inform analyses and reporting.
• Strategic Insight: Utilize dashboards to identify and analyze key indicators and patterns, helping to keep stakeholders informed and aligned with budget allocation amounts.
• Management Communication: Compile and create comprehensive management presentations for various business units, collaborating with program managers to visualize pre-determined talking points and outlines.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program at an accredited college or university, having completed at least 60 college credits or being considered a rising Junior.
• Education Requirement: Field of study must be Business or Finance, accompanied by a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong analytical ability, proficiency in performing complex financial modeling and analysis with MS Excel, and the capacity to quickly learn and adapt to new pricing or financial tools and systems. Additionally, requires a detail-oriented approach and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Other Requirements: Ability to commit to working 36.25 hours per week during the internship; must attach a copy of an unofficial college transcript with the application.
