Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst | NXTPoint Logistics

The Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst plays a crucial role in providing accurate and timely financial information to finance leadership and business stakeholders by supporting budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting: Prepare and update recurring financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc analyses.
• Forecasting & Budgeting: Compile and consolidate data essential for supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Analysis: Perform detailed variance analysis, identifying and flagging significant fluctuations for review by leadership.
• Data Management: Maintain financial models and spreadsheets under the direction of FP&A leadership.
• Validation: Validate and reconcile financial data across various systems and reports to ensure accuracy and consistency.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field, serving as an early career professional.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), accounting, or broader financial analysis. Experience working with financial systems and reporting tools is a plus.
• Skills: Strong Excel proficiency including formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulation; solid analytical and data validation skills; high attention to detail and accuracy; clear written and verbal communication skills; and basic financial modeling capability.
• Bonus: Progress toward professional certifications such as CPA or CFA, or an MBA degree.
