Financial Analyst I (Profitability Analytics) | Credit One Bank

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Credit One Bank, located in Las Vegas, NV. This role is crucial for managing the risk performance and overall profitability of acquisition programs, ensuring sustainable growth and optimizing the company’s financial health.

• Mission: Identify opportunities to increase acquisition volume without negatively impacting program profitability and develop delinquency and profitability forecasting models.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, SAS, SQL

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze: Analyze new account acquisition historical P&L performance to identify revenue opportunities and early-stage risk factors like roll rates and delinquent buckets.
• Communicate: Communicate trends and findings to team members, upper management, and various stakeholders via monthly and quarterly PowerPoint presentations.
• Forecast: Forecast future performance of various acquisition channels using Excel-based or SAS-based P&L forecast models, assessing variances between forecasted and actual results.
• Optimize: Optimize strategies to increase the company’s bottom line, including testing of various fees, credit lines, and products.
• Develop: Develop ad-hoc historical reports to assist with financial analysis as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field; Entry-Level career.
• Experience: 1+ years of work experience in Finance, Risk, Analytics, or a similar role in a professional corporate environment; 1+ years of advanced use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, SAS, or SQL.
• Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; ability to prioritize projects, work independently, and handle tight deadlines; experience analyzing large data sets, developing recommendations, and simplifying for presentation; excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to work well with various departments and teammates; constant desire to learn and grow.
• Bonus: Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or Mathematics; Consumer Credit Card industry experience.
