Associate, Strategic Finance | Ramp

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Ramp, likely located in New York, NY. Ramp builds smart infrastructure for finance teams, automating over $200B in annualized spend for 70,000+ companies by authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books. The Strategic Finance team sits at the core of resource allocation, making this role pivotal in shaping a pre-IPO company at a critical growth stage.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Modeling: Build and maintain detailed financial and operational models with the highest quality and accuracy.
• Strategic Impact: Influence key strategic decisions across Product, GTM, and business leadership by leveraging data.
• Planning: Lead planning analyses for cross-functional teams, evaluating tradeoffs across growth, efficiency, and resourcing.
• Performance Tracking: Identify and develop KPIs, then build dashboards to monitor performance and communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Partnership: Partner closely with business leaders to translate strategy into execution and drive accountability.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career professional with 1–4 years in Investment Banking, Management Consulting, VC/PE, or Corporate Finance at a top-tier technology company.
• Experience: Proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners, along with comfort operating in ambiguity and adapting to evolving priorities with high autonomy.
• Skills: Excellent financial modeling and quantitative/data analysis skills, extreme attention to detail with a high regard for precision, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and a “get things done” mentality.
• Bonus: Expertise with Looker, SQL, and/or Python; strong systems thinking; and curiosity about AI tools.
