Strategic Sourcing Fall Co-Op | Ameren
The Tone:
This is a full-time co-op at Ameren, located in St. Louis, MO, with a hybrid work model. • Mission: Assist in various Supply Chain initiatives, supporting sourcing processes, transformation, and category management to optimize procurement and inventory.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support strategic sourcing and procurement processes, including planning, quality management, and contracting functions.
• Contribute to supply chain transformation initiatives and category management activities within the team.
• Develop financial and economic models for should-cost analysis, gather supplier and market intelligence, and assist in request for proposal development.
• Gather data for demand planning, identify process improvements, and support inventory and material management processes.
• Execute a key project deliverable to present to Executives at the conclusion of the co-op program.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student status (graduate or undergraduate) in a business or technical program from an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4-point scale.
• Experience: No specific years required, though completed coursework through the junior level with a GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred. Previous experience in the supply chain area is a plus.
• Skills: Basic understanding of analytical and statistical approaches to problem-solving, financial accounting experience, strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills, and a high level of initiative. Proficiency in Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Bonus: Course work or concentration in Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Math, or Data Analytics.
