What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Forecasting: Build and meticulously maintain detailed three-statement financial models in Excel, crucial for accurate forecasting of revenue, OpEx, and cash flow on a continuous rolling monthly basis.
• Performance Reporting: Prepare comprehensive monthly and quarterly variance analyses that compare actual results against established budgets and forecasts, clearly flagging critical risks and opportunities for executive leadership.
• Regulatory Filings: Support the rigorous preparation of SEC filings, which includes drafting precise footnotes, management discussion and analysis (MD&A) sections, and all necessary supporting schedules for full disclosure.
• Internal Controls: Design, carefully document, and execute key SOX controls specifically over financial reporting, ensuring full compliance with both internal and external audit standards.
• Executive Insights: Develop and maintain executive-level dashboards utilizing Tableau or Power BI to effectively track key SaaS metrics, departmental spend, and the efficiency of capital allocation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a highly quantitative field, coupled with a deep technical understanding of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and SEC reporting guidelines.
• Experience: 3-6 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, or public accounting (Big 4 preferred). Proven experience with ERP systems like NetSuite, Workday, or SAP.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VBA, complex nested formulas, and financial modeling. Strong communication skills to effectively explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
• Bonus: Active CPA license, CFA charterholder, or experience using SQL and BI tools to extract and analyze large data sets.
