The Tone:
This is an unpaid internship at LvlUp Ventures, with a remote option or in-person/hybrid in Miami, FL or New York, NY. LvlUp Ventures is one of the ten most active venture capital firms globally, known for its value-driven approach to investing in and accelerating high-growth startups, having backed approximately 1,000 companies and reviewing over 20,000 applications annually. This role provides direct, hands-on exposure to the operations of a high-velocity, institutional-grade venture firm, expecting the intern to take initiative and own projects end-to-end. The internship has a clear path to a paid return offer (intern or full-time) based on performance.

• Mission: This role supports live investment activity, founder programs, ecosystem initiatives, and internal projects by taking initiative and owning workstreams.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Screen Investments: Provide deal flow support and screen potential investment opportunities.
• Analyze Markets: Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and track industry trends.
• Manage Data: Prepare internal memos, update dashboards, and assist with portfolio tracking.
• Support Founders: Contribute to founder-facing initiatives, including accelerators, pitch competitions, and demo days.
• Improve Operations: Identify operational inefficiencies, propose solutions, and support their implementation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Interested in venture capital, startups, and company-building as a career path.
• Experience: 1–2+ prior startup internships (venture, startup, accelerator, operator role, consulting, or similar).
• Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; strong judgment, follow-through, and execution discipline; comfortable juggling multiple workstreams at once.
• Bonus: Past or current founder experience; high integrity, high energy, and founder-first mindset.
