• Role: Associate
• Location: In-person, New York, NY
• Pay: $175000–$225000 yearly
• Team: Consumer & Retail practice; reports to senior bankers, manages a team.
• Mission: To provide expert financial analysis and modeling, lead junior teams, and prepare client presentations to support the firm’s Consumer & Retail advisory services.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Suite, Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Analysis: Conduct intricate financial analysis and develop sophisticated financial models, essential for evaluating businesses, supporting M&A transactions, and informing strategic decisions for clients.
• Team Leadership: Take charge of managing a team of junior professionals, providing guidance, overseeing their work, and ensuring the high-quality, timely completion of project deliverables.
• Client Presentations: Prepare and refine impactful client presentations and other critical client-facing materials, clearly articulating complex financial concepts and strategic recommendations.
• Client & Senior Banker Interaction: Regularly interact with senior bankers and external clients, building and maintaining relationships through effective communication and a sophisticated understanding of their needs.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A minimum qualification of an undergraduate degree is required. Candidates must possess a fundamental and applied knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial concepts, coupled with a proven ability to meticulously analyze and accurately value businesses across various scenarios.
• Experience: Demonstrable prior experience in Investment Banking is essential, specifically within corporate finance or Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) advisory. Equivalent professional experience demonstrating a strong foundation in complex financial transactions and client advisory will also be considered.
• Skills: Exceptional analytical and presentation skills. Expert proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, with Excel being a must for sophisticated financial modeling and reporting. A proven drive for results, demonstrating the ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong multi-tasking capabilities for managing diverse responsibilities. Excellent team player mentality combined with the ability to effectively interact with a wide variety of internal groups and clients, requiring a sophisticated level of interpersonal skill.
• Bonus: An undergraduate degree with a preferred focus in finance, business, accounting, economics, or mathematics.
