The Tone:
This is a full-time role at BTIG, located in New York City. BTIG is a global financial services firm with over 700 employees operating out of 20 cities, specializing in institutional trading, investment banking, research, and related brokerage services. This senior role is critical for leading and expanding the Healthcare Equity Capital Markets franchise within the Investment Banking platform. The Managing Director will drive new business by originating and executing equity financing transactions, provide strategic capital markets advice to corporate clients, and deepen institutional investor relationships, directly impacting the firm’s growth and market presence.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Development: Source, develop, and maintain senior-level relationships with healthcare corporates, sponsors, and key ecosystem participants to drive new business.
• Strategic Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite executives and boards on equity financing strategy, market windows, investor positioning, and transaction structures.
• Transaction Execution: Lead end-to-end execution of equity and equity-linked transactions, including IPOs, follow-ons, confidentially marketed offerings, and private placements.
• Market Content & Analytics: Direct the development of sector and market content for clients and use data-driven analytics to inform origination and advice.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop junior bankers, setting high execution standards across modeling, materials, diligence, and client communications.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Executive. Core domain knowledge in healthcare equity capital markets, investment banking, and financial services.
• Experience: 12+ years of relevant investment banking / ECM experience with significant healthcare transaction exposure.
• Skills: Demonstrated track record of origination and execution across healthcare equity financings, strong client management and advisory capabilities, deep understanding of equity capital markets dynamics, excellent analytical skills, outstanding written and verbal communication, and FINRA licenses.
• Bonus: Prior experience operating at a senior coverage or ECM leadership level; experience with private placements preferred.
