IB Associate – Consumer | Stifel Financial Corp.
The Tone:
This is a full-time role within Stifel Financial Corp.’s rapidly growing Investment Banking division. As an IB Associate, you will be an integral part of deal teams, directly contributing to client success by managing complex transactions, mentoring junior analysts, and playing a critical role in delivering strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and various corporate finance initiatives, fostering a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Management: Lead and manage multiple projects and transactions simultaneously, overseeing the entire deal process from origination to execution.
• Team Leadership: Train and mentor junior staff, effectively managing the analytical products created by analysts for clients.
• Client Advisory: Facilitate external client requests and actively assist in providing all related transactional advisory services to clients.
• Transaction Execution: Play a crucial role in both corporate finance deals, including debt and public/private equity, and complex M&A transactions.
• Operational Support: Provide essential assistance to financial professionals as needed and diligently perform other job duties assigned to support deal team operations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field; deep knowledge of accounting.
• Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of Investment Banking experience.
• Skills: Possess strong analytical skills and practical experience in analyzing businesses and their financials; demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, including comfort in working directly with senior client executives and PE/VC firms; exhibit demonstrated problem-solving abilities and sound judgment; and prove proficient at task prioritization and time management while delivering dependable work products.
• Licenses: FINRA Series SIE, FINRA Series 63, and FINRA Series 79 within one year of hire.
