Conflicts Resolution Analyst | Considine Search

The Tone:
This is a full-time role for a prominent legal firm, managed by Considine Search, located in New York, NY or San Francisco, CA. The firm builds and maintains ethical legal practices by carefully managing potential conflicts of interest for its clients and attorneys. This role is critical for upholding professional standards and ensuring the integrity of legal services by proactively identifying and resolving complex conflict situations.

• Team: Reports to Conflicts Counsel and the Office of General Counsel, assisting Conflicts of Interest Attorneys.
• Mission: Identifies, researches, and proposes resolutions for potential conflicts of interest to maintain ethical standards and client service.
• Tech Stack: Intapp Open Conflicts, ServiceNow, Dun & Bradstreet, LexisNexis, iManage/SPM

What You’ll Actually Do
• Conflict Assessment: Review conflict reports to identify potential conflicts involving lateral hires, entity roles, waivers, and matter status.
• Relationship Research: Investigate affiliate relationships by utilizing commercial databases to gather necessary information.
• Resolution Development: Collaborate with responsible attorneys to confirm conflicting matters and develop recommendations for their resolution.
• Documentation & Implementation: Prepare written summaries of conflict analyses, draft conflicts waiver language, and implement ethical walls.
• Professional Growth: Stay current on industry trends in Conflicts/New Business and the legal profession to enhance expertise.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Four-year college degree with core domain knowledge in conflicts of interest issues, laws, and procedures.
• Experience: Four years’ relevant conflicts experience in a role involving issue spotting, research, and recommendation development; conflicts resolution experience is strongly preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent analytical and attention-to-detail skills.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Intapp Open Conflicts, ServiceNow, Dun & Bradstreet, LexisNexis, and/or iManage/SPM.
