Financial Analyst – Mobility | Hertz

The Tone:
This is a Financial Analyst role at Hertz. Hertz operates the Hertz, Dollar Car Rental, and Thrifty Car Rental brands across approximately 9,700 locations worldwide, standing as one of the largest global airport vehicle rental companies. This role is crucial for partnering with the Mobility and Oro teams to enhance financial visibility, improve operational performance, and support strategic decision-making. The analyst will be responsible for financial planning, reporting monthly actuals, budgeting, forecasting, and various analyses to guide key decisions across the organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analysis: Provide financial business analysis, decision support, and thought leadership to various stakeholders.
• Forecasting: Develop financial forecasts, analyze business trends, and generate internal management reports to monitor key performance indicators.
• Planning: Support monthly reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes for both short-term and long-term business planning cycles.
• Insights: Advance data mining and modeling to identify key business drivers and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
• Performance: Deliver timely and accurate analysis of business performance, including revenue, operating expense, EBITDA impact, and variances to plan and prior year results.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related Quantitative field.
• Experience: 0 – 2 years of experience in FP&A, Finance, Accounting, or Data Analytics in an analytical or reporting role.
• Skills: Moderate to advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; strong analytical mindset with the ability to connect financial results to operational drivers; excellent verbal and written communication skills to present financial insights clearly.
• Bonus: Experience with Power BI, Databricks, Tableau, or other reporting tools preferred; ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders across various teams; flexible and adaptable with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
