What You’ll Actually Do
• Administer corporate and licensing filings: Prepare state and local filings for various licenses and corporate entities, manage related correspondence, monitor due dates, and secure necessary approvals for timely submission.
• Conduct legal research and reporting: Perform research to assist attorneys across company business aspects, summarizing findings and preparing comprehensive reports as requested.
• Manage legal projects: Organize and strategize on project execution, outlining interim steps, monitoring progress, and ensuring all deadlines are met under attorney supervision.
• Process financial transactions for the department: Calculate fees, manage the Accounts Payable process for filing fees, and track, log, and initiate payment for invoices, including those from law firms.
• Maintain legal records and generate reports: Set up new corporate or litigation files, gather facts and documents for claims, calendar filing deadlines, update case information, and compile regular weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for the team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate Degree with Paralegal or legal secretary training.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience as a legal secretary or paralegal.
• Skills: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and legal database software; knowledge of basic accounting concepts; and a Notary license or the ability to obtain one.
