Business Financial Analyst | ABB

The Tone:
This is a full-time, onsite role at ABB, located in Athens, TN. ABB is a global technology leader empowering industries to run leaner and cleaner, where every individual is supported to grow and make a significant impact. As a Business Financial Analyst, you will be instrumental in the ELIP Finance/Accounting team, contributing to vital financial support activities for the Athens, TN site by ensuring compliance and delivering transparent financial data.

• Team: Reports to the Senior Business Controller, supports the Athens, TN Controller, and is part of the ELIP Finance/Accounting team.
• Mission: Perform support activities across General Accounting, Financial Analysis, Accounts Payable, and Reporting & Consolidation in alignment with defined strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Tech Stack: Oracle, SAP (preferred), ERP, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office products

What You’ll Actually Do
• Communication: Facilitate timely and efficient communication with the Controller and Finance/Accounting team to identify and address issues and propose improvements.
• Month-End Activities: Execute essential month-end tasks, including account analyses, reconciliations, journal entry creation, account reviews, inventory analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, forecasting documents, and presentations for various stakeholders.
• Compliance & Monitoring: Conduct financial compliance reporting through monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews, and oversee Capital Expenditures and Fixed asset monitoring, analyses, review, and reporting.
• Data Transparency: Establish and manage processes and tools designed to ensure the provision of transparent and reliable financial data and business information.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in an accounting or financial analyst role, with required experience in computerized accounting systems and financial reporting software (including Oracle, SAP preferred, or ERP), and manufacturing accounting.
• Skills: Strong Microsoft Excel skills, proficiency with other Microsoft Office products, outstanding attention to detail and accuracy, strong written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask.
• Bonus: Prior experience in Accounts Payable is preferred.
