Financial Analyst Internship | Madison Street Capital

The Tone:
This is an in-person internship at Madison Street Capital, located in Sarasota, FL. Our firm specializes in funding, corporate finance, M&A, and due diligence, providing financial advisory services and valuations to middle-market firms across diverse industries. This role is crucial for our growing Analytical Group, as you will directly support our analysts in managing client engagements and contributing to key financial projects. This position also offers a unique opportunity to be considered for a full-time role within the firm.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Management: Assist analysts with the project management of client engagements.
• Market Research: Research and prepare targeted investor and buyer marketing lists, and manage institutional investor databases.
• Due Diligence & Valuation: Formulate due diligence questionnaires and provide essential support for due diligence and valuation packages.
• Presentation Development: Assist in the creation of investor presentations and other forms of marketing materials.
• Financial Analysis: Interact with clients’ management teams, analyze financial statements and tax returns, and work with complex financial models.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student with a working knowledge of standard investment management concepts.
• Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and PowerPoint, with a proven ability to plan and organize workflow.
• Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, excellent oral and written communication skills, aptitude for detail with a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to set clear priorities.
• Bonus: Demonstrated ability to plan and organize with a high degree of creativity and innovation.
