Secondaries & Primaries Intern | Ardian

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Ardian, located in New York, NY, specifically designed for a student available from September through the end of December 2026. Ardian, a global leader in private investment, offers this opportunity for an intern to quickly become an indispensable member of its investment team. The role provides an ambitious individual with significant responsibilities from the outset, contributing directly to core investment functions within the firm. This position is vital for supporting the team in analyzing private equity opportunities and preparing strategic recommendations for the global investment committee.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Provide comprehensive support to the investment team across all major investment functions, ensuring smooth operation and timely completion of tasks.
• Conduct thorough financial modeling, developing detailed scenarios and projections for investment opportunities.
• Perform in-depth valuation analysis of both private equity funds and target companies to inform investment decisions.
• Prepare detailed investment recommendations, summarizing findings and strategic insights for presentation to Ardian’s global investment committee.
• Execute various ad hoc reports and contribute to special projects as required by the team, demonstrating adaptability and responsiveness.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A student on track to graduate in May 2026, or an undergraduate student, who is available for full-time work through the end of December 2026. Candidates must possess a strong interest in and sound knowledge of corporate finance and Private Equity.
• Experience: While no specific number of years is mandated, candidates are encouraged if they possess prior experience in the finance sector, such as investment banking, strategy consulting, or valuation.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong excel modeling skills, a deep understanding of corporate finance principles alongside the ability to effectively analyze investment opportunities, strong writing and memo-drafting skills, and a robust analytical mindset. The ideal candidate will also exhibit drive for results, be teachable, and consistently deliver high quality work.
• Bonus: Prior professional experience in finance, specifically within investment banking, strategy consulting, or valuation, is considered a significant advantage. Fluency in English is a mandatory requirement for this role.
