Quantitative Trading Intern Summer 2027 | Flow Traders

The Tone:
This is an internship role at Flow Traders, located in New York, NY. Flow Traders is a leading financial firm specializing in market-making and identifying arbitrage opportunities across global markets. This internship offers students a comprehensive nine-week immersive experience to explore their interest in trading, apply quantitative skills, and contribute to real-world challenges on an exciting trading floor.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Learn directly from industry leaders on the New York trading floor through structured educational courses.
• Participate in hands-on trading simulations to understand market dynamics and decision-making.
• Develop and test trading strategies through project-based work, utilizing quantitative models and trading tools.
• Collaborate with Traders and Quantitative Researchers to solve real-world trading challenges and optimize desk performance.
• Gain in-depth exposure to Flow Traders’ core business, market-making activities, and collaborative “One Team” culture.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidate for a Bachelor’s degree studying in the United States with a major in Finance, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics or related fields.
• Experience: Demonstrable interest in trading and global financial markets, with no prior experience required.
• Skills: Excellent mental math, quantitative, and analytical skills; proficiency in Excel and an affinity for scientific programming or development languages; ability to think on your feet, reason logically, and deliver under pressure; innovative and creative with an entrepreneurial and competitive mindset; attracted to a collaborative, team-oriented work environment that offers great challenges and rewards.
• Bonus: Class of 2028, preferred.
