The Tone:
This is a 9-week summer internship role at JPMorganChase, located in Columbus, OH, Chicago, IL, Plano, TX, or Wilmington/Newark, DE. What You’ll Actually Do
• Drive Business Improvement: Collaborate with professionals to influence and shape key decisions, initiatives, and outcomes by applying analytical thinking and data-informed insights to identify trends, manage risk, and optimize business performance.
• Conduct Financial Analysis: Create meaningful financial analysis, reporting, and insights to support business strategy, coordinating with partners across the firm on budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
• Maintain Financial Integrity: Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial statements and controls across the transaction lifecycle, performing critical reporting functions including legal entity, financial and regulatory reporting, and product valuation.
• Manage Key Initiatives: Support initiatives that drive cross-line-of-business or firmwide priorities, including new regulations, standards, or policies, contributing to large-scale programs and tracking progress and analyzing outcomes across project lifecycles.
• Advise on Risk and Performance: Act as a trusted advisor to business and group heads by identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks, and optimizing business performance through data-driven insights and strategic planning support.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student pursuing a Bachelor’s or 5th-year Master’s degree, with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or June 2028, and an interest in financial management, analytics, and data.
• Experience: Relevant internship experience and demonstrated leadership in academic or community organizations.
• Skills: Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; data-driven critical thinking; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Bonus: Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale; working knowledge of data analytics or visualization tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, or Python; intermediate Excel skills including Vlookup, Pivot Tables, and Index Match.
