The Tone:
This is a Summer Analyst role at JPMorganChase, located in the New York Metro area (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Jersey City). JPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses, and prominent clients globally. The Global Finance & Business Management (GFBM) team focuses on improving the business strategically, financially, and operationally, by combining financial expertise with advancing technologies. This role is crucial for shaping key decisions and making meaningful contributions through analytical thinking, providing a direct pipeline to the full-time Analyst Program.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze financial data and generate insights to support business strategy and decision-making.
• Identify and mitigate business risks while optimizing performance through data-driven initiatives.
• Coordinate and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and performance management processes.
• Support cross-line-of-business projects, track progress, and analyze outcomes across lifecycles.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial statements and controls across the transaction lifecycle.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a B.A., B.S., or 5th-year M.A. or M.S., with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or June 2028, with an interest in financial management, analytics, and data.
• Experience: Relevant internship experience and demonstrated leadership in academic or community organizations.
• Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving skills, a digital-first mindset, data-driven critical thinking, curiosity, adaptability, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Bonus: Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale, working knowledge of data analytics/visualization tools (such as Tableau, Alteryx, Python), and intermediate Excel skills (Vlookup, Pivot Tables, Index Match).
