The Tone:
This is an integral role at Brilliant®, a rapidly growing, multi-site organization. Brilliant® is seeking an early-career finance professional to support essential operational finance activities, meticulous capital expenditure tracking, and comprehensive financial reporting. This position is crucial for maintaining precise financial accuracy, partnering effectively with operations teams, and helping to establish robust, scalable financial processes within a dynamic business environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Cost Management: Support meticulous cost tracking and financial accuracy across labor, materials, and third-party expenditures by maintaining financial trackers, validating coding, and ensuring alignment with operational agreements.
• Billing Operations: Execute comprehensive billing support activities, including sales order creation, accurate invoice generation, thorough billed versus unbilled analysis, and direct customer billing support.
• Month-End Support: Assist with critical month-end close processes, encompassing accruals, detailed expense reviews, account reconciliations, allocations, and precise journal entry support.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare recurring profitability reports, conduct detailed budgeting and forecasting analyses, and provide insightful operational trend reporting to support strategic business decision-making.
• Process Engagement: Monitor invoice routing and approval workflows, partnering with Accounts Payable and cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Contract Onboarding: Support the onboarding of new operational contracts by establishing robust financial tracking, reporting, and billing processes from inception.
• Process Optimization: Contribute actively to process improvement initiatives, develop clear financial documentation, and assist with system enhancements that are vital for supporting scalable organizational growth.
• Data Analysis: Gather, meticulously analyze, and maintain financial data across multiple systems and stakeholders to ensure reporting consistency and accuracy across the organization.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early-career professionals with 1–3 years of experience in finance, accounting, FP&A, or another related analytical domain.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience supporting critical finance functions such as budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, or month-end close activities.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong command of various financial systems, and adaptability to work effectively within a fast-paced business environment.
• Bonus: Prior experience utilizing enterprise performance management tools is considered a significant advantage.
