Alternative Delivery Project Analytics Intern | TYLin

The Tone:
This is an internship position at TYLin, a globally recognized infrastructure consulting firm with over 3,000 employees across the Americas, Asia, and Europe. TYLin designs innovative, cost-effective, and constructible solutions for the global infrastructure market, enhancing conventional designs, improving mobility, and finding sustainable solutions for resources. This role is crucial for supporting the evaluation and financial health monitoring of major infrastructure projects, ensuring robust risk assessment and refined financial performance tracking from business development through commissioning.

The TL;DR

• Mission: Help assess project risk, financial performance, and delivery strategy for large lump-sum and alternative delivery infrastructure projects.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze: Support analysis of project financial and risk health across the project lifecycle, from business development through commissioning.
• Develop: Create and maintain Excel-based financial and risk analysis tools used to track project performance.
• Collaborate: Work directly with project managers and delivery teams to gather insights on project risk exposure and performance.
• Improve: Assist with improving financial reporting accuracy and ensuring project data is captured consistently and reliably.
• Refine: Enhance internal tools, templates, and playbooks used for project monitoring and risk evaluation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Master’s degree or MBA in Business Administration, Engineering Management, Finance, Statistics, Risk Management, Operations, Analytics, or a related discipline.
• Experience: Exposure to alternative delivery methods, infrastructure projects, or construction management; experience working with engineering, construction, or project delivery teams; academic or professional work related to project financial analysis, risk evaluation, or infrastructure delivery.
• Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency; experience with financial modeling and data analysis; knowledge of statistical analysis or simulation methods.
• Bonus: Experience with VBA or Excel automation; interest in developing analytical tools or improving internal workflows; a background in engineering transitioning into business or management studies.
