Financial Analyst | OneOncology

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at OneOncology. OneOncology is dedicated to improving cancer care by positioning community oncologists to drive future medical care through a patient-centric, physician-driven, and technology-powered model. This role is crucial for supporting the organization’s financial planning, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business decision-support processes, directly contributing to the company’s mission to improve the lives of individuals living with cancer.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Analyze financial statements, market trends, and economic data to generate comprehensive reports and presentations, effectively communicating results and trends to financial managers and business leaders.
• Planning & Budgeting: Participate in the budgeting and planning process, identify cost-saving opportunities, forecast revenue and expenses, and monitor variances between actual and budgeted results, providing recommendations for course correction.
• Strategic Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making across the organization, assess financial implications of business initiatives, and stay informed of industry trends and competitor activity.
• Control & Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS), maintain strong internal controls, and actively participate in the monthly and quarterly close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Process Improvement: Work with financial, operational, and business intelligence data to maintain reporting templates, models, and dashboards, identify opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency, and support data validation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience in finance or accounting, with proven experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including complex formulas and functions) and PowerPoint; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail and accuracy; effective written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences; and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Bonus: Experience in a healthcare environment and familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
