Analyst, Industrials – Investment Banking | BMO Capital Markets

The Tone:

This role is crucial for delivering deep industry sector expertise, innovative thinking, and world-class execution across a full suite of products. The Analyst will collaborate to generate creative, client-focused solutions, supporting deal teams and contributing to the integrated Capital Markets platform.

What You’ll Actually Do
Client Materials: Develop internal and external marketing and pitch materials, including statistical exhibits and financial performance trend analyses for client presentations.
Deal Support: Support deal teams in the development, presentation, and successful acquisition of mandates, while understanding client needs and desired outcomes.
Financial Modeling & Valuation: Perform complex financial modeling and execute valuation analyses as part of client and industry evaluations.
Research & Analysis: Research and analyze company and industry financial and operating information, providing analytical findings to deal teams and completing quality reports.
Strategic Execution: Support the execution of strategic initiatives and integrate information from multiple sources to enhance processes and reporting.

The Must-Haves
Background: An undergraduate degree with academic coursework in finance, economics, or accounting and outstanding academic achievement.
Experience: 0-3 years of progressive experience within investment and/or corporate banking, including financial analysis training and experience.
Skills:

• Expertise in financial computer applications and database management tools.
