What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Support: Support the execution and origination of a full suite of investment banking transactions within the Low Carbon Transition sector, working closely with various product teams.
• Deal Coordination: Support M&A, ECM, and Leveraged Finance transactions, including coordinating across all internal and external parties involved to ensure smooth execution.
• Presentation Development: Prepare detailed presentations and contribute to comprehensive deal pitches, requiring in-depth research and analysis of target companies and relevant industries.
• Financial Analysis: Develop complex financial models, including sophisticated valuation analyses and merger consequences analysis, to inform strategic advice and transaction structuring.
• Market Intelligence: Provide critical industry intelligence and competitive analysis for identifying potential opportunities, and actively assist in scoping and assessing prospective deals for the team.
• Client & Internal Collaboration: Work in close partnership with Managing Directors, Directors, Vice Presidents, and Associates to manage client relationships and deliverables, while also establishing effective working relationships with internal constituents throughout the organization.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree with a demonstrated record of academic excellence.
• Experience: Proficiency across all aspects of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), and a core understanding of accounting and valuation.
• Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities, coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills, and a detail-oriented approach to quality results.
• Bonus: Prior Investment Banking experience at an investment bank with specific exposure to M&A, ECM, and Leveraged Finance, or comparable experience at a large corporate; core valuation and financial modeling experience in a professional setting.
