This role is critical for evaluating new investment opportunities, building detailed financial models, assisting with transaction execution, and partnering with portfolio companies to drive long-term value creation initiatives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Evaluate: Evaluate investment opportunities across niche manufacturing, business and industrial services, consumer, and healthcare sectors through financial analysis, market research, and commercial due diligence.
• Model: Build and maintain detailed LBO, operating, and valuation models to support investment decisions and prepare investment committee materials.
• Execute: Assist with transaction execution, including due diligence, valuation, negotiations, and coordination with management teams, lenders, and external advisors.
• Partner: Partner closely with senior investment professionals and portfolio company management teams to identify operational improvements and support long-term value creation initiatives.
• Monitor: Monitor portfolio company performance, analyze industry and market trends, and help source new investment opportunities throughout the Midwest.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate-level professional joining a Lower Middle Market Private Equity firm’s investment team.
• Experience: Experience with investment opportunity evaluation, building complex financial models (LBO, operating, valuation), and assisting with private equity transaction execution.
• Skills: Financial analysis, market research, commercial due diligence, LBO modeling, valuation modeling, negotiation.
