Associate Analyst – Finance | Energy Transfer

This role is crucial for providing essential analytical and technical support across various functions within the finance department, contributing to the company’s financial planning, reporting, and overall success.

• Team: Finance Department, supporting corporate finance, planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Mission: To provide analytical and technical support to enable effective financial performance management and reporting.
• Tech Stack: MS Excel, IBM Cognos TM1 (willingness to learn required), SAP (preferred)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual performance management reports for senior management.
• Planning & Forecasting: Support the company-wide annual planning process and the subsequent monthly forecasting process.
• Analysis: Provide corporate and G&A expense variance analysis, comparing budget vs. actual, quarter vs. quarter, and current year vs. prior year.
• System Support: Provide support for TM1 production and development environments, including maintaining existing dimensions and managing user access and security.
• External Reporting: Provide support for earnings releases, 10-K, 10-Q, and other external financial reporting activities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; a degree in Finance, MIS, or Mathematics is preferred.
• Experience: 0-2 years of relevant job-related experience.
• Skills: Must be highly proficient with MS Excel, possess demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, and have high-level communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Bonus: IBM Cognos TM1 experience is preferred (with a required willingness to learn), and SAP experience is also preferred.
